I will describe a novel class of asymmetric processes with underlying su_q(1,1) symmetry. This includes:
(i) the asymmetric Kipnis-Marchioro-Presutti model (AKMP);
(ii) the asymmetric Brownian energy process (ABEP);
(iii) the asymmetric inclusion process (ASIP).
I will show an algebraic constructive approach that yields duality for all such processes. As an application I will discuss the use of duality in the computation of the current (exponential) moments.
